SETTING UP EQUIPMENT

We arrive with a specialized boat equipped with engines, built-in pumps, a dedicated air system, and an integrated bagging system. We also bring a full-size pontoon boat to haul the collected seaweed bags and transport them to shore.

WEED REMOVAL

With several divers capable of working at depths of up to 30 feet, they’re trained to identify invasive weeds and remove them by the roots, feeding the plants into a 5-inch suction hose. Depending on weed type and density, this process can clear roughly 200–500 square feet per hour.

CLEAN UP AND HAUL AWAY

As the diver suctions weeds from the bottom, other crew members bag the seaweed and load it onto our second pontoon barge. We also use a skirting system to capture any remaining plant material so it can’t regerminate later. All collected seaweed is hauled away and donated to local farmers.
